Just a little update

Work for me (Kandy) has been slow these last few weeks. The hospital census is down meaning I don't get hours. God will provide for us financially as we are faithful with what we do have. So, besides trying to crunch numbers to see how this month is going to work with me only getting 1 shift a week the past two weeks and none so far this week, I have started back at the gym.

Prior to the "Jackson" incident I was running quite a bit. Then life kind of got put on hold. Well I fell out of shape and have been really reluctant to get back to the gym. Needless to say, I am a bit rounder, 26 weeks pregnant and not at all in the shape I was in 5 months ago. But I went. Saturday morning and climbed on the treadmill. Hoping for three miles I actually clocked 4! It felt GREAT!! The baby bounced a bit and so my tummy muscles were sore but it was fun.

So I went back sunday, did the elliptical. Monday evening John took Jackson to Petsmart to get some new "fishies" for Jackson (and him too :). He dropped me off at the gym. I ran 2 miles at a pretty easy pace for me. It felt great!!

So once again I am in love with running. I always forget how much I enjoy it until I actually take the first step. Running frees my mind, burns calories and all around makes me feel better.

What is your outlet? Your stress reliever?

My best one is music...but I do love running too! So glad I can climb back on the treadmill myself...after 2 years of the Army telling me no, I'm pain free so far on the treadmill!!

Man I totally missed that last post! I was wondering where you guys were! My bad! So happy to see and hear how you are doing, and good for you for even working out so hard when you're 26 weeks preggo. That is a tough task.
Well I'm a muscle head, so lifting weights is the best for me.

I just want to reiterate how amazing you look, despite how pregnant or out of shape you feel. Don't concentrate on those numbers on the scale, concentrate on being healthy and feeling good about yourself (exercise, good food, etc.) and those pounds will quickly fall off like they did with Jackson. You are beautiful!!!!
