What we need...

God doesn't always give us what we want but He ALWAYS gives us what we need!!!

God is a great, awesome God whose ways are not our ways, thoughts not our thoughts. Despite this often painful truth God is always love!! John and I and the rest of the family, friends (nd others I'm sure) want Jackson home and this trial ended. Trust me, I do believe God does too, however His timing may be, no, it is different than ours. Despite this being what we desperately want, God has said, WAIT! However He has NOT stepped out of our lives. In fact I see His goodness day in and day out! I see Him giving what I need. More of HIM!

This past week God has provided words of encouragement, gifts BEYOND our imagination, prayers, text messages, letters, cards, phone calls, great times with Jackson, hours for me to work, rest, play, food and much more. You see, even though Jackson is not home God is working other things. I do believe that the truth will be revealed in time and Jackson will be home. In the interum we will be patient, wait for God's timing, see what God is doing in our own lives and in the lives of those around us and praise Him day in and day out, despite not getting what we so desperately want. Our prayer has been and still is, not our will but Thine be done O Most Holy God!!

Pray for us please. This week friday will mark 120 days (I pray it ends before that) can you believe it?! Wow, what a length of time. But do you know what God says about that? He says that a mans time is a vapor, that a day in God's eyes is but a second a thousand years like a day (or something close to that--look it up;) ). Job 23:10 says "but He (G0d) knows the way that I take; when He has tried me, I shall come out as gold". God has not forgotten us. God hs collected every tear that has and will fall since this all began Aug 31. He has heard EVERY prayer! He has held me close countless days and nights as I cried myself to sleep. He has been the fortress that is holding us together. He is the hope that comes in the morning. He is our Deliverer and He IS coming!!! We will continue to wait for Him and His absolute perfect timing.

What we need Lord is more of You. We ask that your hand of mercy ends this trial. We ask that you bring Jackson home even this week. We ask that you reveal the truth to the final group as you so faithfully have to the other 2 groups involved. God you know what we want, help us to see what we need and accept it thankfully! We love you Lord and our lives are yours for your glory. Be glorified.

Hi Kandy! You don't know me, but I am in Kristin Sweeney's small group at our church. We have all been praying for you, John and Jackson. I had goosebumps last night when Kristin emailed us and told us that you had won the court case and that Jackson could come home. HALLELUJAH!!! We are rejoicing for you in Michigan. God is good!!!
