Ok, so I am totally over my blog envy. Well, maybe not totally, but I am over it. Why? Because I have GREAT readers and followers. People who follow my blog whom I met when I was little, when I was at Judson, and other friends and family who LOVE my family. So, yep, over it.
Addison w/ Leslie

Also over it. Another week has passed by. What a great week it was!
I got to spend some time with Leslie, John's Aunt, Addison's great Aunt. She has a knack with babies. Kinda like my sister Kelly. She is the "baby whisperer" in the Tobinson family. God is really stirring in her heart and it is neat to see her excitement for what God is doing. Addison gave her lots of smiles, none yet to her Mommy, little stinker.

Game nights are always a great time. A new guy came, whom I will call "A" since I am not sure he would appreciate being called out on the blog yet. He did great. Handled the banter and craziness in great stride. I also won't mention with whom he came, but he was attached with someone who frequents the family game nights. Uncle Chuck was getting Jackson all riled up. It was super fun to watch. We are truly blessed by this new found closeness with family here.
A few pics from game night...

Pretending to be asleep but really being CRAZY!!! with Uncle Chuck

Jackson has been increasingly cute with his little "sen". That's how he says, "Addison"; just "sen". He wakes up every morning and asks for her. He pets on her and loves on her all day. It's adorable.
We got to hang out with my great friend and sister in Christ, Kristin and her two kids. We went downtown to the Lincoln Park Zoo. And while the trip down there was so stressful it required the consumption of an half pound bag of M&M's the return trip the other 1/2 pound the time at the zoo was great!! Jackson really enjoyed the animals but was more interested every time we passed, "water" and "chirp chirps". However, he did get really excited over the lions and "roared" to them to say "hi".

Grandma Carolyn came over a couple times to play What fun she is and she brings sanity to my days. She came over Wednesday so I could shower and she helped me get the kids ready for the zoo. THANK YOU CAROLYN!!
I have been REALLY challenged to start living my faith with more zeal. To start speaking up about the Jesus who has saved my soul and loves me so unconditionally. To start caring about what He cares about. I have been reading, "Just give me Jesus" by Anne Graham Lotz. While I read the book about 6 years ago I am finding it especially refreshing and invigorating to my faith.
I will leave you with this awesome concept from her book:
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God"
"How awesome that the 'Word' that was in the beginning, by which and through which God created everything, was--and is--a living Person with a mind, will, emotions, and intellect."
Have you ever thought about that???

I remember our trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo - so much fun! I'll bet Jackson had even more fun being a year older. That is a great picture of Carolyn with the grandbabies. So lucky to have such great family just down the street.
i will follow your blog to the depths of the earth.
