Spiritual journey...

For the sake of preserving some privacy I just wanted to post a general update on my spiritual journey and ask for prayer.

This summer I am:
1. planning on joining a women's small group Bible study that meets Thursday mornings from 9am-11am. I am really excited about this, as it has been over a year since I have been in a small group with other ladies.

2. Embarking on yet another new scripture memory journey. Through Harvest I have joined the memorization challenge. The quest is to memorize "30 Go to have 'em" scriptures by September 15, '08. On the left hand side of this blog you will see what verses I am working on and I would love to be called and asked about them randomly. I would love the challenge and accountability. Anyone want to join me?

3. Another thing I would love to do this summer is attend Harvest's womens minsitry retreat. I don't want to go alone so if anyone would like to come with me please let me know. Details can be found at harvest's website.

4. Lastly I want to commit to going to Prayer gatherings for women on Tuesday nights starting June 17 from 7-830pm this summer. Again, the invitation is open to anyone wanting to join me.

So, I have big plans, yes I know that means I can fail big time, but I think these are all totally doable things and should be part of my daily/weekly/and yearly journey as I seek to walk with, worship and work for Christ. I have been luke warm lately; enough said. I want to make Jesus the LORD over all areas of my life.

For now I am in need of some suggestions for where to read in God's word. I have a few weeks before the Bible study will start and I need to be in God's word daily. So, again, feel free to leave me a comment/suggestion or a word of encouragement or thought here on my blog.
