Crazy Love

This book, Crazy Love, by Francis Chan is amazing. Powerfully written and extremely thought-provoking and challenging. We have been reading through it as a small group and John and I are both being challenged to live radically for Jesus Christ. We love Him with all of our hearts so why not give everything and anything to show our love?! As we are reading we have decided to make lists of things we can do to change our lifestyle so we can give more to the poor and needy, so we can have more time to volunteer and help with the widows, orphans and helpless. We have not made our lists yet but the brainwaves are churning. We are looking very much forward to where God is leading us to live and follow hard after him.

Living crazy for Jesus starts with baby steps of obedience. Saying yes when I feel the Holy Spirit prompting me to pray, give, go, call the friend etc. My life won't be radically changed and major things won't change until I start being obedient in the small things. Sometimes I feel like being obedient in the small things is so much harder than say, going on a mission trip, giving money etc. Calling up the friend, praying with a person, sharing my faith with boldness all seem much more intimidating to me. But I am ready. I am ready for a life transformation. I am ready to show Jackson that living for Jesus is worth it. I am ready to take God at His word. To trust Him for strength, courage, wisdom, love and a passion for more of Him.

Only God knows what He has in store for me and our family as we say "yes" to Him. I am excited. I want to be an obessed follower of my Jesus, my Savior and greatest Friend.
